Advocacy & Legal Advice Centres provide assistance to witnesses and victims of corruption and provide valuable information about corruption hotspots to drive the advocacy efforts of the anti-corruption movement.
This site is the first point-of-call for citizens seeking legal advice in their country, for those interested in supporting the ALAC programme, and for those who want to learn more about this vital, grass-roots initiative, the people it has helped, the people behind it and the change it has driven.

ALAC Launched
The original plan was to have formal launching of ALAC, Nepal after signing of MOU with the government. Because of the delay in signing of MOU, ALAC Nepal was formally launched on May 22, 2009. On the occasion chief secretary, state agencies secretaries and secretaries of different ministries of the government of Nepal, media people, civil society members, representatives of like minded organizations and social activist were present

Welcome to Alacnepal

Advocacy and Legal Advice Centers (ALACs) reject the notion that people are apathetic in the face of corruption. Rather they demonstrate that they will become involved in the fight against corruption when they are provided with simple, credible and viable mechanisms to do so.

Transparency International Nepal, a leading anti-corruption NGO, founded its Advocacy and Legal Advice Center in 2009. The Center offers legal advice to victims of corruption and helps them file formal complaints.
